Research under the "Secure Mobile Computing" project has developed
middleware and system-level solutions that provide access to shared data and
that apply computing resources to such data in a manner that preserves system
scalability and security. The work has also established connections with
potential users of secure, mobile computing technology and produced portable
software systems that will support its further development.
This report summarizes work during the 1993-97 contract period and guides the reader into the literature.
